Rebecca Morris
Veterinarian
Dr Morris grew up in Colorado and earned her BA in English literature at Mount Holyoke College in western Massachusetts. After graduating, she decided to change gears and take more science courses, leading to work in molecular biology research and in biotech in California. When her 2 cats were facing the challenges of aging, she discovered the growing field of feline-centered veterinary practice and decided to pursue veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, earning the senior student award from the (then-)American Association of Feline Practitioners. She has since been practicing feline-exclusive medicine in private practice, shelter, and low-cost clinic settings. Before moving to Boston, she volunteered at a biweekly Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return day at her local cat shelter in Florida and cared for 2 neighborhood cats. She earned the Cat-Friendly Veterinarian certification from the Feline Veterinary Medical Association in 2025.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, thrifting, and watching a good movie. Although she and her cat India are adjusting to the Northeastern winter, she is very happy to have joined The Boston Cat Hospital team.
